WhatsApp does not need to be explicitly launched to log in online. If you received a message, you would receive a notification about it automatically.

Initially, the messenger was able to exchange only text messages. In addition to text, you can also add emoticons and attach various multimedia files, including photos, videos, audio, contacts, and even places on maps. WhatsApp's handy feature is the presence of notification signs that notify users when a message has been delivered. 

Another useful function of the messenger: using voice input of text, you can significantly facilitate and speed up communication. New features are also always in development, such as expiring media messages, the function of searching messages by dates, and more. The app continues developing and becomes more useful.

Whatsapp has included two-factor authentication for all messenger users. It is available in WhatsApp apps for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone. To activate it, you need to open the messenger settings and select the appropriate option in the Account menu. 

If you have two-step verification enabled, your number cannot be re-verified without a WhatsApp passcode set for seven days after you last used the app.
