Secret Neighbor review
Secret Neighbor is Hello Neighbor but with multiplayer. In all aspects: in plot, mechanics, funny visuals, this is a repetition of the previous game about an evil neighbor. Dynamic Pixels has retained the style and atmosphere of the game. However, significant changes have taken place since the release of the previous part.
Graphics and Sound 9/10
We also see colorful graphics and hear intense sound effects when a neighbor is chasing us. You will find many interesting details in each location that make the game world more exciting and attractive. Particular attention is paid to lighting fixtures. This factor fully works for the gameplay. The kids' team even has their own flashlight to help and protect.
If you've played Hello Neighbor, you already know that the game controls are not incredibly difficult. If you don't know the controls yet, you will find clues for the item you are currently holding in the screen's lower right corner.
The action takes place in two locations, the house, and its surroundings. There are two teams, one with six children, the other with one neighbor. The children's task is to rescue their friend, who is locked in the basement of the house. They need keys to open the locks on the door to this cellar.
Keys are dispersed throughout the house in various boxes, crates, and other caches. You need to collect all the keys to open the door. The neighbor must catch the team members, preventing them from reaching the keys. It is fascinating, and there is a certain balance that makes it fun to play as both children and a neighbor. The round lasts 15 minutes.
Lasting Appeal 8/10
It's much more interesting to play with friends. Each character has its own cool properties, so you can try different strategies for dealing with a neighbor and new roles. This is the reason why you will be interested in playing Secret Neighbor more than once.
Is Secret Neighbor worth playing? It depends on how much you like social horror, where the match's result depends on teamwork. One of the game's main advantages is the detailed study of locations and interacting with various objects.
Furthermore, you can have good fun with a company of friends playing Secret Neighbor, but completing the game with random players can seem dull. And the presence of bugs and imbalance of the sides emphasizes that the authors should still work on it.
- Appealing graphics
- Fascinating multiplayer mode
