Hello Neighbor

Hello Neighbor review
Hello Neighbor is a very unusual game from Dynamic Pixels studio. It is a puzzle game with a dark, surreal environment. The main thing here is the atmosphere and strange, sometimes quite brain-breaking puzzles.
Graphics and Sound 9/10
The game style is fun and enjoyable, with intense sound effects and typical horror elements resonating curiously with colorful graphics. Many locations are cool, and there are often eye-catching interiors. Every component of the game is designed to complement its dark vibe, so you often feel the tension in anticipation of your neighbor's next antics.
Controls 9/10
It is enough to master the basic movements to feel comfortable in the game. Learn to pick up an object and throw it, for example, as a distraction for a neighbor. In any case, no matter how great you control the joystick, mouse, and keyboard, the insane physics of this game leaves no one a chance. Here you’ll see characters making a ten-meter jump from their seats, chairs getting stuck in the walls, many other wonders.
Gameplay 7/10
At the beginning of the game, you witness the villainous actions of a neighbor who is hiding something in his basement. Your task as a player is to solve the mystery of your neighbor by solving various puzzles. Besides, it would help if you did not fall into the hands of this very neighbor.
The developers have endowed the neighbor with artificial intelligence: he can remember the ways that you most often like to get into his house, analyzes your behavior, and every time he catches you, he will become stronger and more cunning so that life does not seem sweet to you.
Lasting Appeal 6/10
Everything is quite confusing in this game, and do not hope that the ending will put everything in its place. It comes too unexpectedly and only deepens the misunderstanding. The final episode is rather bleak and does not fit such a convoluted detective story. An ordinary user is unlikely to want to go through Hello Neighbor again, having certain information, to find out the secrets of its history. It seems that all these secrets are clueless.
Conclusion
Everything about the visual style and mood that the game immerses you in looks good and fulfills its function. Crazy funny physics is also pleasing. Everything about the plot is, unfortunately, pretty disappointing. It's so frustrating as if Achilles in the Troy Movie would just slap Hector after calling him into battle by shouting loudly outside the city walls.
Pros:
- Exciting physics
- Thrilling atmosphere
- Attractive visual style
Cons:
- Confusing plot
- Low lasting appeal
